Description of Document:
A case study on the Texas Department of Transportation's Statewide Center-to-Center Software and Systems Integration, planned in phases to link traffic management centers across the state. The first phase was a pilot project to demonstrate the linking of the Dallas and Fort Worth systems for traffic incident information. The next phase added command and control features to the information exchange. Phase 3 then extended the system to link with the San Antonio TransGuide system.

In Fiscal Year 2002 -- FHWA funding was received to sponsor the development of five additional case studies, and make three updates to the previous case studies. In October 2001, a project team was selected and started work on the Phase 2 case studies.

In October 2002 -- the Joint Committee on the NTCIP accepted the draft case studies (including 9005) and amendments as Recommended Information Reports.
